R.O.O.T.S. Club Announcement

Archive, Club News, School Year 2021-22

Does your family have origins outside the U.S.? Are you interested in talking about food, film, music, games, and holidays from “home”?  Would you like to discuss topics relevant to being a first or second-generation immigrant in Baltimore City or/and at BSA?

If you answered yes to these questions, then come and join R.O.O.T.S.!  We are a group of students and faculty at BSA whose purpose is to provide a space to share stories, celebrate holidays, and bring our international experiences and perspectives to the BSA community.

Throughout the school year, R.O.O.T.S. will be hosting activities such as: playing international games, sharing snacks from home, learning about current events in our home countries, listening and dancing to world music, watching movies and documentaries, and much more.  Anyone is free to join! You can come anytime, or miss any meeting. No commitments necessary.

Our next meeting is Thursday, December 16.  We will meet in Sra. Imhoff’s room (403) from 4:15 to 5:15.

We will host an international party with Tea and Treats From Home. Please join us, if you are interested in learning about end-of-the-year celebrations and festivities around the world.

Thank you!

Sra. Imhoff
