Hello Bsa-ers, we meet again! Gossip Girl here, your favorite source of the juicy events happening at the Baltimore School for the Arts!

The past few months have been absolutely electric and, like always, I have every single detail you need. So hold onto your cups, because you don’t want to miss the tea I’m about to spill!

First up, the fall play, “She Kills Monsters,” directed by Paul Reisman, absolutely slayed the stage—literally! With epic battles including fighting bugbears and a fairy-but-wee, and heartfelt moments, it was a must-see event!

Shoutout to senior actor Favian Womack. NO ONE could’ve played Farrah the fairy better than he did! If you missed the show, well, let’s just say a dragon might as well have swooped in and carried you off.

Next on the agenda, Opera Scenes! The show was definitely breathtaking! The vocalists’ beautiful voices mixed with their stunning costumes transported us to a world of elegance and grandeur. Word on the street is that senior vocalist Israel Goodridge lit up the church with his voice!

Let’s dive into some instrumental music with a performance from our very own wind ensemble! The Fall Symphonic Wind Ensemble concert blew us all away! With magical pieces, it was music to our ears! They rocked the stage with a piece from “Incredibles 2”, proving they’ve got superhero skills to match their star power.

It’s really fascinating how a piece can have so many levels and dynamics, but still blend beautifully together. If you weren’t there, you missed out on some serious talent!

Last but certainly not least, we had an incredibly moving story told by Mrs. Jessica Silverman, from the perspective of her grandmother during the Holocaust. It was such a compelling story and very engaging. It was almost like you could see the images through her narration.

It was one of those moments that reminded us of the power of art and history to educate and inspire. A big thank you to Mr. Bandos and the Jewish Student Group for making that happen!

That’s all for now BSA-ers. Keep slaying, and remember, I’m always watching. Until next time…Oh! And who am I? That’s one secret I’ll never tell. You know you love me.

XOXO
